Our Curriculum:

The Pascale Method

Fun. Effective. Built For Kids.

For over 13 years, we’ve used the Pascale Method to make learning violin exciting and approachable for beginners.

What Students Learn:

  • Note Reading: From day one—open strings, rhythms, rests, and note values using flash cards.

  • Technique: Step-by-step videos teach posture, bow hold, and finger placement, all building toward Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

  • Daily Practice Motivation: Practice logs and weekly sticker rewards encourage consistent progress.

  • Assignments & Quizzes: Reinforce skills and prepare students for each class.

  • Certificate of Achievement: Earned after completing the 10-week course.

Created by Susan Pascale, this method has launched young musicians to Carnegie Hall and even America's Got Talent. It works—and it’s fun.

Violin Rentals – $25/month

GYO offers quality student violins for $25/month + $50 setup.

  • Rent-to-own with size upgrades as your child grows

  • Avoid cheap, colored violins—they often sound poor and don’t stay in tune

  • Our violins retail around $500 and are professionally maintained

Renting is optional, but we ensure every student has a great start.

Kun Shoulder Rest - $30

Every child needs a shoulder rest to hold the violin well. We recommend the collapsible Kun shoulder rest from Amazon which can range from $25-35. Click one of the links below to view Amazon options.
