How did it start?

We started an independent music school and orchestra program in 2013 called Temecula Conservatory of Music. This music school quickly grew to over 300 students and included orchestras that performed on stage at Carnegie Hall in 2019 and went on tour to Austria in 2024. Our successful California music school and orchestras continue to this day. We  are now offering the same successful orchestra program here in Gilbert!

Carnegie Hall

We had high goals with these orchestras and found that the idea of performing at Carnegie Hall really lit a fire under students to practice and improve. We started teaching our first violin lessons in April 2013 and performed at Carnegie Hall in April 2019. It's our goal to start violin lessons in August 2025 and perform at Carnegie Hall in April 2029.

Austria

We've always had the desire to tour internationally and I thought this would be the next spectacular goal to aim for. In 2024 we took our top level orchestra on tour to Salzburg, Vienna and Prague, Czechia. Students and their families were able to tour Mozart's birthplace. perform in Mozart's cathedral, perform in a 1000 year old cathedral in Vienna, experience the Vienna House of Music, tour many other incredible ancient cathedrals and landmarks and perform in the Prague National Museum of Music. Pieces performed  included pieces by Vivaldi, Benjamin Britton, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Max Richter, Rachmoninoff, Smetana, Tchaikovsky and Johannes Brahms. Here is our Austria Playlist for your enjoyment.

Our Plans for Gilbert, Chandler and Queen Creek

The beginning of an incredible journey for Gilbert Youth Orchestras starts August 23rd when we hold our first ever auditions at American Leadership Academy at 3155 S Santan Village Pkwy, Gilbert, AZ. 85295. If you or someone you know is interested in having an amazing experience with friends that will last a lifetime, music to be proud of, trips that take you to far off places like Carnegie Hall and Europe and more fun in orchestra than you've ever had then join us! Our first orchestra rehearsal will be held Wednesday, August 27th and it's  going to be spectacular!
